Eric brings passion, creativity and stoke to his backcountry splitboarding, and with 33 years of snowboarding under his feet, his love for the mountains and sliding sideways are infectious. Eric was the first to pass the American Mountain Guides Association ski exam on his splitboard, rendering him one of the earliest fully-accredited Splitboard Guides. He is also a Professional Member of the Canadian Avalanche Association, apsirant AMGA Alpine Guide and Wilderness First Responder. His professional guiding career has featured work with some of the best in the business, including Eagle Pass Heli Skiing and Baldface Lodge in British Columbia and Third Edge Heli in Alaska and Chile. With over 15 heli seasons in AK and 12 winters working the mechanized aspect in BC, this guy loves snow!! In 2014, Eric launched his own guiding company, Splitboard Guides International, specializing in human-powered shred experiences in California’s Sierra Nevada Range and select destinations around the world. Eric’s summers are spent alpine guiding and pursuing adventures from the Cascade volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest to the Andean volcanoes of southern Chile. Eric is not only the lead guide but also the mastermind behind both itineraries that we are offering this year in Chile.
